We are looking for a performance-driven video editor who understands both direct-response editing and the fast-moving world of ai-powered creative production.role descriptionthis is a full-time remote role for a video editor at lubracil.the video editor will be responsible for producing high-converting video ads for meta, youtube, and other paid media channels using a mix of traditional editing and modern ai tools. This person will join an existing creative team and work closely with the creative director, media buyers, copywriters, and founders to create ad creatives that are fast, effective, and performance-focused.this role reports directly to the creative director.the ideal candidate is not just a strong editor — they also have a strong working knowledge of ai models and ai creative tools. They understand how to use ai to improve production speed, testing volume, visual development, voice workflows, creative iteration, and overall efficiency without sacrificing quality or performance.responsibilities- edit high-converting short-form and long-form video creatives for meta, youtube, landing pages, and advertorials - turn raw footage, ugc, testimonials, b-roll, creator content, and approved copy into performance-driven ads - use ai tools and ai models to accelerate video production, voiceovers, subtitles, visual variations, creative testing, and production workflows - create multiple ad iterations from winning concepts by changing hooks, pacing, intros, ctas, angles, visuals, and structure - work closely with the creative director and broader creative team to execute on creative strategy and feedback - collaborate with media buyers and copywriters to produce videos based on performance data and approved messaging - use ai-assisted workflows to improve output speed while maintaining strong brand quality and compliance standards - edit vsl-style videos, testimonial edits, founder-style videos, ugc ads, and native social creatives - add captions, overlays, motion graphics, sound design, product callouts, and platform-specific formatting - organize project files and maintain efficient workflows across both traditional editing tools and ai-based creative platformsqualifications- proven experience as a video editor for dtc e-commerce, direct-response brands, or performance marketing teams - strong portfolio of video ads designed to drive measurable results - deep understanding of meta and youtube ad creative - strong knowledge of ai models and ai creative tools relevant to video editing, content generation, and production workflows - speaks englishexperience using ai for tasks such as:- voiceovers - subtitles and translations - image and video enhancement - avatar or synthetic content workflows - creative iteration and testing - production speed and workflow optimization - familiarity with platforms and tools such as chatgpt, claude, nano banana, sora 2, gemini, midjourney, elevenlabs, synthesia, heygen, capcut ai, or similar tools - strong sense of pacing, retention editing, storytelling, and direct-response structure - proficiency in adobe suite, premiere pro, after effects, capcut, or equivalent editing software - ability to use ai tools practically inside a real production workflow - strong communication and organization skills - ability to work well within a team and take direction from a creative director - ability to work independently in a fast-moving remote environmentnice to have- experience with ai-native ad production workflows - ability to combine human editing instincts with ai speed and experimentation - experience creating high volumes of ad variations quickly for testing - knowledge of the nutra/supplement, wellness, beauty, or women's health space - familiarity with vsl editing and advertorial video content - understanding of compliance considerations in health and supplement advertisingideal candidatethe ideal candidate is someone who understands that modern creative performance is a mix of:- strong editing instincts - direct-response marketing knowledge - fast iteration - comfort working inside a collaborative team environment - and strong familiarity with ai models and ai tools
