Position - Sales Manager (MUST HAVE Experience in Hotel Industry)Key ResponsibilitiesWork with the Director of Sales & Hotel GM and team to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for the segments you are responsible forProvide positive and aggressive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potentialParticipate in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on businessAnalyze market information by using sales systems and implement strategy to achieve the property's financial room and catering goalsReview sales and catering guest satisfaction results to identify areas of improvementDevelop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and externalWork collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure the property needs are being achieved and the sales efforts are complementary, not duplicativeExecute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)Be a brand ambassador, ensuring the brand's voice is present in your interactions with guests and talentEmpower your team to resolve guest issues independently and with confidenceWork in collaboration with all heads of departments to ensure a successful hotel operationIdentify new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals.Understand the overall market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.Close the best opportunities for the location based on market conditions and location needs.Gain understanding of the location's primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solutionRequired Skills, Experience & QualificationsSales and business development experience in a fast-growing, dynamic businessSelf-starter used to self-generating interest and focusing relentlessly on delivering results.Proven ability to find & convert deals quickly with tenacity and dedication.Demonstrable track record of sourcing & delivering, at pace, multiple deals of a meaningful scale.Self-sufficient, deal-focused and can-do mindset, willing to take risks to succeed.Outstanding communications skills and the ability to present a compelling narrative to a wide variety of audiences, both large & small.Able to work under pressure and to think independently to create interest in a proposition.Strong business and financial acumen to give others confidence & to give credibility to the selling process.Note - Candidate must be willing to relocate to Cuba.
