It will strengthen the capacity of the science department in mathematical analysis, modern algebra and/or statistics, and will play an important role in consolidating engineering programs in general, and the mathematics and data science program in particular. The position will also support other departments, such as computer science, through joint projects. In addition, it will strengthen the area of educational innovation—where the science department is a national leader—through current projects requiring advanced mathematics or statistics.your main challenges will be:teach undergraduate and graduate courses at the estado de méxico campus with a yearly load of 28 udc.support growth in consulting and continuing education by attracting external funds comparable to the engineering school average.strengthen the research group in applications and mathematical modeling in the mexico city region through the use of topics in analysis, modern algebra, topology, and/or statistics.strengthen the research work of the regional sciences department by contributing to the departmental seminar.support the growth of mathematics faculty in their intellectual vitality by creating research or extension projects.provide various types of advising and courses to master's and doctoral students in engineering.develop agreements with top-tier universities on topics related to mathematics.participate in national and international forums with research conducted by you and/or the applications and mathematical modeling group.what are we looking for?Ph.d. in sciences with a specialization in mathematics, with research experience in analysis, algebra, topology, geometry, or statistics.specialist in creating mathematical and/or computational models for analyzing physical systems.recent publications.attendance at international conferences in their field in recent years.english level b2 or above, or toefl score of 550+.why work with us?Our talent is the driving force behind our success.
