Job summary
* we are seeking a skilled therapist to join our team.
the ideal candidate will be responsible for providing massage services to guests using props and/or products, as well as body treatments using body scrubs, wraps, and/or hydrotherapy. They will also be expected to assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications before beginning service, maintain up-to-date knowledge of current techniques and modalities related to their field of work, escort guests to and from treatment rooms, arrange workstations, treatment rooms, and/or drapes, promote and sell spa/salon services including retail offerings related to the spa, clean, maintain, and sterilize tools, maintain cleanliness of workstations and/or treatment rooms throughout shifts, dispose of trash and dirty linens, secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift, and monitor and stick to time schedules throughout the day.
responsibilities
* provide massage services to guests using props and/or products, such as swedish massages, deep tissue massages, and other specialized massage therapies.
* provide body treatments to guests using body scrubs, wraps, and/or hydrotherapy, such as salt scrubs, sugar scrubs, and other nourishing treatments.
* assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications before beginning service to ensure safe and effective treatment.
* maintain up-to-date knowledge of current techniques and modalities related to their field of work, staying informed on the latest industry developments and advancements.
* educate clients on proper skincare routines and provide personalized recommendations for maintaining healthy skin.
* escort guests to and from treatment rooms, ensuring timely arrival and departure, and maintain professional communication with clients at all times.
* arrange workstations, treatment rooms, and/or drapes to create a relaxing and therapeutic environment for guests.
* promote and sell spa/salon services including retail offerings related to the spa, such as products, gift certificates, and special packages.
* clean, maintain, and sterilize tools and equipment, adhering to high standards of sanitation and hygiene.
* maintain cleanliness of workstations and/or treatment rooms throughout shifts, disposing of trash and dirty linens and securing supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
* monitor and stick to time schedules throughout the day, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
