We are seeking a data engineer with approximately 4 years of experience to help design, build, and support scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms. This role will focus heavily on snowflake and matillion, with a strong emphasis on deployments, automation, and operational excellence.
key responsibilities
* design, build, and maintain elt pipelines using matillion to ingest and transform data from multiple source systems into snowflake
* develop and optimize snowflake data models, including performance tuning, cost optimization, and query optimization
* manage and execute data pipeline deployments across environments (dev, test, prod)
* improve and standardize automation for data pipelines, deployments, monitoring, and error handling
* partner with analytics and business teams to translate data requirements into scalable technical solutions
* monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot failures, and implement proactive alerting and recovery processes
* contribute to ci/cd practices for data engineering, including version control and release management
* ensure data quality, reliability, and documentation across the data platform
* participate in code reviews and help establish best practices for data engineering and dataops
required qualifications
* 4+ years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar data‐focused engineering role
* strong hands‐on experience with snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, cost awareness)
* proven experience building and managing pipelines with matillion
* experience running deployments and supporting production data environments
* solid understanding of sql and data warehousing concepts
* experience improving automation for data pipelines, testing, or deployments
* familiarity with git/version control and collaborative development workflows
* ability to troubleshoot data issues across ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers
* experience with ci/cd tools (e.g., jenkins, github actions, azure devops, etc.)
* python experience for orchestration, automation, or data processing
* exposure to cloud platforms (aws, azure, or gcp)
* experience with monitoring, logging, or data quality frameworks
* knowledge of dataops or analytics engineering best practices
