Key responsibilities
- responsible for daily work scheduling for maintenance technicians.
- ensure that tasks run as scheduled.
- tracking and prioritizing open work orders.
- order parts and equipment as needed.
- identify and make improvements in processes
- interact with all levels of the organization in an efficient and cooperative manner.
- lead and perform troubleshooting, repair work and preventative maintenance on all plant machinery, equipment and instrumentation to maintain plant operations at highly efficient levels
- document project activities and prepare appropriate operating standards and/or maintenance procedures for all equipment and processes
- complete documentation process for the use of machinery, equipment maintenance. Maintain the cleanliness of the maintenance equipment workshop.
- maintain familiarity with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and processes, and relationships with appropriate vendors and equipment suppliers
- maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; and establishing personal networks.
Desired experience, capabilities and success factors
- bachelor's degree.
- must have 8+ years of preventative maintenance experience.
- must have practical technical knowledge including hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical repair and plc.
- must have excellent verbal and written skills.
- must be able to coordinate multiple work forces and handle detailed, wide-ranging projects while meeting deadlines.
- must have experience with software interface tools for allen bradley or ge fanuc plcs and windows based software preferred.
- great attention to detail and the ability to work with mínimal supervision required.
- ability to physically complete required tasks such as standing for long periods of time, stooping, bending, climbing ladders, working on roofs.
- must be able to locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- must be able to remove defective parts by disassembling devices; use of hoists, cranes and hand and power tools; examine the shape and texture of parts.
- must be able to adjust the functional parts of control devices and instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, etc. bob) and straight edges (straightedges ).
- must be able to fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- must be able to maintain inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed equipment, parts, and supplies. 1-3 years' experience in a material handler position or equivalent experience
- ability to communicate with employees and management in a positive manner. Strong communication skills interpersonal.
