mexico public affairs serves as the primary point of contact for all company interactions with mexican federal, state, and local officials, as well as foreign government officials (ambassadors, consuls, etc.).
1. advocacy: advocate on behalf of the company on legislation and regulation related to automotive safety, environment, energy, tax, trade, and healthcare.
2. operational support: provide operational support, particularly for manufacturing and supply chain management, to ensure execution of the business plan.
3. financial resources: secure economic incentives and other financial resources to support the company’s capital investments.
4. trade strategy: lead the trade strategy and interaction with public and private stakeholders to influence policy for preferential and competitive market access for the company.
strategic responsibilities
* identify and follow up on federal government's public policies related to auto industry trends.
* promote tax incentives and administrative facilities with federal and state governments to ensure competitiveness of manufacturing operations.
* develop strategies for international trade negotiations and stellantis trade operations.
operational responsibilities
maintain fca's industry registration at the ministry of economy and fiscal depot authorization at sat. Manage import and export quotas at the ministry of economy. Handle federal government vehicle registrations before commercial launch (repuve, shcp, se).
qualifications
* 10-12 years of experience in public policy, government, or trade-related areas.
* bachelor's degree required; master's degree desirable.
