*position overview*
the quality director will lead the company's quality management strategy, ensuring that all harness products meet customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory compliance.
this role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems that drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes, supplier management, and customer satisfaction.
*key responsibilities*
- define and oversee the company's quality policies, procedures, and objectives.
- lead the quality assurance and quality control teams to ensure compliance with iso/ts standards and customer-specific requirements.
- develop and monitor key performance indicators (kpis) related to product quality, defect rates, and customer complaints.
- collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits with customers and certification bodies.
- manage supplier quality programs, including qualification, audits, and performance monitoring.
- drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as six sigma, lean manufacturing, and root cause analysis.
- report regularly to senior management on quality performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations related to product quality and manufacturing processes.
*qualifications*
- bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or related field (master's preferred).
- minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality management within the automotive or harness manufacturing industry.
- strong knowledge of iso/ts *, iatf *, and other relevant quality standards.
- proven leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- fluency in english
