Our optical communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Key responsibilities
execute plant pex & lean strategy to meet and exceed plant & business objectives
partner with groups below to define, develop, and deploy initiatives that drive operations excellence:
regional pex/lean
ocs global pex/lean
lead / be the role model for ensuring:
that appropriate statistical analysis, engineering principals, and the scientific method are applied in pex problem solving and decision-making projects
a lean culture is established managing continuous improvement throughout the value streams within the plant. This includes foundational and transformational lean
experiences/education – required
required: bachelor of science degree in an engineering field
desired: masters (mba, engineering) degree
minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience
minimum of 2 years management experience
leadership experience in quality, manufacturing, or operations
minimum 7 years of manufacturing experience
minimum of 2 years management experience
leadership experience in quality, manufacturing, or operations
knowledge and experience with project planning tools such as ms project, risk analysis, and decision analysis
excellent communications, interpersonal and influencing skills
training and facilitation skills
