responsibilities


the opportunity

the primary function of this role is to ensure that manufactured products meet quality, safety, and product design standards to guarantee the satisfaction and integrity of our customers and consumers. This role is responsible for ensuring effective communication and feedback channels between suppliers, process areas, and internal and external customers, guaranteeing compliance with the quality and safety policy, as well as the implementation and improvement of the food safety management system, the integrated quality system, and the product integrity matrix.

the impact

as supply chain quality & food safety sr manager your scope would consist of …

1. comply with quality and food safety requirements and standards in receiving, storage, and production processes to ensure operational continuity through proper management, administration, and control of resources allocated to the area.
2. comprehensive process control management: materials receiving, laboratories, sensory analysis, spc
3. support and promote the implementation of prerequisite programs
4. develop and execute strategies that guarantee a positive impact on the quality and safety of our products, in conjunction with the different teams and areas of operation, ensuring root cause analysis and trend analysis of the various indicators
5. compliance with the non-conforming product protocol, as well as the analysis and follow-up of corrective actions
6. design, promote, and implement training and development strategies to strengthen the functional and leadership skills, as well as the performance of team members.
7. comply with and enforce pepsico's quality and safety policy, through proper management of the food safety management system, integrated quality system and product integrity matrix.

ensure the maintenance of optimal conditions in spaces, tools, and areas assigned for the analysis, sampling, and investigation of raw materials and finished products, such as laboratories, quality control tables, measuring tools, and others.

8. lead internal and external audits, reviews, and inspections related to quality and food safety, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements, conditions, and actions necessary for system and regulatory compliance.
9. deploy, align, and execute local and national quality and food safety initiatives.
10. responsible for halting any activity or work that could pose a risk to the quality or safety of our products.
11. promote initiatives that positively impact the team's organizational climate.follow up on actions resulting from the ohs survey (engagement, recognition, career development, inclusion, among others).encourage our employees to embrace the pepsico way culture.

ensure monitoring of the team's key performance indicators (kpis) through participation in and proper management of the organizational transformation model: motor+

12. improvement of kpis through performance management: startup, performance, and reporting
13. development of multi-skilling and operational autonomy by promoting the star points system and comprehensive operator programs, fostering the development of holistic skills for fulfilling their role.
14. generate commitment and recognition through participation in engagement committee initiatives
15. manage action plans and strategies through facilitation teams

qualifications


who are we looking for?

16. biochemical, food, chemical, industrial engineering, or related field.

17. master's degree (preferred).

18. knowledge of food safety: prerequisites, haccp, gfsi, fsma.

19. knowledge of quality programs: metrology, laboratories (physicochemical, microbiological), process control, sensory evaluation, problem analysis and solving, and statistics.

20. knowledge of current mexican standards:

iso 22000
21. proficiency in microsoft office and sap.
22. intermediate-advanced english.
