Technician iv, automation & test
this role is within chamberlain group's nogales engineering group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) review equipment preventive maintenance best practices and detect opportunities to assist on implementing improvements., and (ii) assist in creating preventive maintenance work orders checklists on the cmms database. Requires 2-3 years' experience in technical engineering and a minimum of a technical or associate degree. Review equipment preventive maintenance best practices and detect opportunities to assist on implementing improvements. Assist in creating preventive maintenance work orders checklists on the cmms database. Assist other technicians doing preventive maintenance on complex equipment. Perform calibration on complex equipment. Support production needs, assure completion of all equipment corrective work orders, troubleshoot and repair complex equipment failures. Assist other technicians in the test equipment hardware construction, perform validations, and document follow up actions. Conduct test equipment failure analysis, determine failure rout causes, define containment and permanent actions, and follow up on implementation. Define noncomplex test methods/setups. Help maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock regularly and placing purchase orders. Utilize computerized maintenance management system (cmms) to perform work (e.g. record work history, identify parts usage) in a timely and effective manner. Protect chamberlain group’s reputation by keeping information confidential maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
education/certifications: technical or associate degree experience: 2-3 years' experience in technical engineering knowledge, skills, and abilities: proficient knowledge measurement instruments use like multimeters, programable power supplies, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, frequency counters, and signal generators. Proficient understanding of electrical schematics as well as mechanical drawings. Proficient in computers and basic software applications. Able to use electrical and mechanical tools, such screw drivers, wrenches, drill bits, drill taper, for hardware construction. Basic knowledge in analog circuitry, opams, filters, transistors, fets, mosfets, passive components, and transformers. Basic knowledge on microprocessors, memory mapping, and plds. Basic knowledge in rf tx/rx coding, am, fm, cw, attenuators, antennas, filters, mixers, and splitters
