Production planning and cost control specialist
we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized production planning and cost control specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing production planning, inventory control, and cost analysis for our operations.
job responsibilities:
* manage production planning, including scheduling and prioritizing tasks.
* conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
* develop and maintain accurate cost models to inform business decisions.
* collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement.
* provide timely and effective communication to stakeholders on production status and cost-related matters.
* monitor and analyze financial reports to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
* develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve profitability.
required skills and qualifications:
* 4-year degree in supply chain management, operations research, or related field preferred.
* at least 5 years of experience in production planning, inventory management, and cost analysis.
* prior experience working with international suppliers and manufacturers preferred.
* fluent written and spoken english required; spanish proficiency a plus.
* excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under pressure.
* experience with sap or similar software preferred.
