*position overview*:the manufacturing engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high quality, and cost-effectiveness.this team member will possess strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.*responsibilities*:*1.process development and optimization*:- develop and optimize manufacturing processes to achieve production goals, improve quality, and reduce costs.- implement lean manufacturing principles and practices to enhance efficiency & productivity.- design and layout manufacturing workstations, equipment, and processes to ensure optimal workflow.*2.* *equipment and tooling management*:- specify and procure manufacturing equipment, tools, and fixtures.- oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of production equipment.- work with suppliers to ensure equipment and tooling meet specifications and standards.*3.* *production support*:- provide technical support to the production team to resolve manufacturing issues.- conduct root cause analysis of production problems and implement corrective actions.*4.* *continuous improvement*:- lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.- monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement.*5.project management*:- manage manufacturing projects from concept through implementation.- develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.*6.health and safety*:- ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the manufacturing environment.- implement safety improvements to reduce risks and prevent accidents.*requirements*:- bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.- proven experience (5+ years) in manufacturing, preferably a tier 1 automotive supplier.- strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as assembly, molding, and automation.- proficiency in cad software (e.g., autocad, solidworks).- experience with lean manufacturing, six sigma, and other methodologies.- excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.- proficiency in microsoft office suite and production management software.- *proficiency in spanish and english languages (written and verbal)*language*:- english (required)work location: in person
