You will serve as a key communication bridge in mexico, enhancing brand reputation through professional pr strategies and supporting the business’s greenfield expansion from scratch. This role is ideally suited for mexican nationals or mexican-chinese professionals who possess deep local market insights, cultural understanding, and established networks. Key responsibilities brand story development & communication craft and disseminate compelling brand narratives tailored to the fintech industry to increase brand awareness and credibility in mexico. Develop localized pr strategies aligned with global direction while meeting local market needs. Media relations & management build and maintain long-term relationships with key media in finance, technology, and economics. Plan and execute media activities, including press conferences, interviews, and industry events. Content creation & press materials author high-quality press releases, media statements, bylined articles, and other pr content in both english and spanish as needed. Support marketing efforts with consistent brand messaging across multiple channels. Crisis communications establish monitoring and response protocols to manage potential reputational risks. Act swiftly during crises to implement communication plans that protect brand integrity. Brand image building monitor brand perception and analyze pr performance to refine strategies. Collaborate closely with internal teams (product, marketing, legal, etc.) to align pr initiatives with business objectives. Building from the ground up establish foundational pr operations in mexico, including media databases, partner networks, and localized processes. Explore innovative local communication approaches to accelerate market entry. Qualifications & experience professional background bachelor’s degree or higher in public relations, communications, finance, economics, or related fields. Minimum 8 years of pr experience, with substantial exposure to fintech, financial services, or related industries. Proven track record of working with finance, technology, and business media outlets; existing local media network is essential. Experience in multinational or foreign-invested enterprises is preferred. Mexican nationals or mexican-chinese candidates are strongly preferred, given the need for local market expertise and cultural fluency. Language skills fluent and professional english (written and spoken), used as a working language. Native or professional proficiency in spanish is required.
