role overview
we are looking for an supplier engineering lead to oversee the technical integrity and successful delivery of complex systems and equipment across our projects.
this role combines hands-on engineering expertise with functional leadership and coordination, ensuring that all technical requirements are clearly understood, executed, and validated throughout the project lifecycle.
you will act as the technical authority and primary liaison across internal teams, vendors, and clients — bridging technical requirements with real-world execution, while supporting coordination across multiple concurrent projects and contributing directly to overall delivery success.
this role requires someone who can operate both as a hands-on technical expert and a coordinating lead, capable of managing complexity across multiple deliveries.
key responsibilities
technical ownership & coordination
* act as the primary technical liaison between internal teams, vendors, and clients
* interpret and manage technical requirements across the full project lifecycle
* ensure alignment between technical specifications and delivered systems
quality assurance & validation (qa / v&v)
* lead verification and validation activities across multiple stages of delivery
* ensure compliance with technical standards, specifications, and project requirements
* review technical documentation including drawings, reports, certifications, and manuals
system integration & technical execution
* support system integration, testing, and troubleshooting
* provide technical guidance during project execution
* ensure systems are implemented and perform as intended
vendor technical coordination
* work closely with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure technical alignment and compliance
* monitor technical outputs during production and resolve issues where needed
* support evaluation and alignment of vendor solutions when required
project coordination & delivery support
* work closely with project management team to support planning and execution across multiple concurrent projects
* ensure technical activities are aligned with project timelines and delivery milestones
* proactively identify and resolve technical risks that may impact delivery
* contribute to maintaining visibility and coordination across ongoing projects
installation, commissioning & support
* provide on-site or remote support for installation and commissioning
* support training and technical handover to clients
* assist in resolving post-delivery technical issues
functional leadership & continuous improvement
* contribute to the development and evolution of engineering and quality practices within the organization
* provide guidance and support on technical and quality-related matters across projects
* help structure and improve how technical work is executed across teams
* collaborate across functions to strengthen overall delivery performance
what you bring
experience
* bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
* 5+ years of experience in engineering, system integration, or technical project delivery
* hands-on experience in testing, troubleshooting, and implementation
* experience supporting installation and commissioning of systems or equipment
* experience working with vendors or manufacturers in a technical capacity
technical knowledge
* familiarity with industrial codes and standards (iec, csa, ul, ieee, etc.)
* strong ability to interpret technical specifications and documentation
* proficiency with engineering tools and technical reporting
