responsibilities:
implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives, adapting globally created strategies to countries and region's needs
identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers
evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
contribute to the budget process at country level
define risk management strategies for the business and promote activities to reduce the risk
monitor, suggest and execute hedging in order to minimize company exposure to price volatility
evaluate business development projects (own renewable assets, ppas, coge)
stay informed about market dynamics, emerging trends and pricing fluctuations to identify potential risks and opportunities
analyze energy procurement data to track performance and identify areas for improvement
streamline procurement processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
minimum requirements:
bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or comparable qualification
more than 7 years proven experience in procurement, energy trading or energy consultancy (power, gas and renewable certificates)
category expertise: extensive proven experience and knowledge in the american energy markets, not limited to north america
negotiation skills: strong negotiation and contract management skills
communication skills: english and spanish, preferably also portuguese language
interpersonal skills: effectively build relationships with and influence a dynamic and diverse set of stakeholders
analytic ability: to analyze data and make informed decisions & ability to present findings in a clear and cohesive manner and to collaborate across borders
