Job description:
* development of electrical control systems for machinery specialized for automation of harness assembly processes. The position requires a subject matter expert (sme) who can manage priorities and resources to ensure equipment and tooling are delivered meeting aptiv and oem specific requirements for wiring processes.
* sme with proven technical knowledge in electrical controls engineering, plc/scada, automation, and vision systems for automated wiring processes. Responsible for developing new and specialized automated processes to optimize productivity, quality, and cost.
* responsible for implementing new technology in wiring processes to position aptiv as a market leader.
* this position requires an engineer capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. The engineer will also serve as the authority for electrical control systems and traceability development, ensuring compliance and quality.
skills:
* bachelor's degree in engineering fields such as mechanical, electrical, electronic, mechatronics, or similar.
* experience with plcs (allen-bradley, proface, siemens).
* minimum of 3 years experience as a controls engineer.
* high-level programming skills in scada and structured languages; experience desired.
* proficiency in microsoft office.
* english proficiency at a medium-high level, both spoken and written.
* knowledge of safety standards.
* experience following procedures and documentation standards.
functions:
* manage capex budgets for product programs.
* develop and execute training plans for production plants.
* ensure equipment and tools meet customer and aptiv requirements.
* develop a supplier network that meets aptiv standards.
* control project costs and adhere to budgets.
* implement cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
* provide documentation related to equipment handoff procedures.
* deliver machinery and tools training and recommendations to support plant self-sufficiency.
* support flawless project launches.
