manufacturing technologies engineer – plasma & chemical processes
your main responsibilities:
preparation of technical equipment specifications: criteria for maintenance and calibration of equipment.
Preparation and updating of technical documentation associated with special processes, including work instructions, technical data sheets, operation sheets, control plans, and training guidelines.
Definition of special process parameters, required tooling, and inspection methods. Definition of criteria for the use and control of direct and indirect consumables.
Standardization of methods used at workstations related to the assigned technology.
Definition of qualification and certification requirements for operators performing the process.
Development of design of experiments (doe) to obtain special process parameters that meet customer specification requirements.
Definition of special process control tests in coordination with operational areas and internal or external laboratories.
Participation in special process certification audits conducted by customers and nadcap.
Support in the resolution of non-conformities and events related to the assigned special process.
Definition of standard work and disposition of discrepancies within the process from a technical standpoint.
Root cause analysis of quality issues identified in operations involving the assigned technology.
Who we are looking for:
education:
degree in chemical engineering, metallurgical engineering, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, or manufacturing engineering.
Experience:
more than 1 year of experience in plasma coating applications and chemical processes.
Required knowledge and/or software:
experience with testing and analysis in metallurgical and chemical laboratories.
Languages:
english: advanced level (oral and written communication).
Desirable knowledge and/or software:
experience supporting audits such as as9100, iso 9100, or similar.
Basic interpretation of manufacturing drawings.
Experience in developing work instructions for manufacturing processes.
Fundamentals of manufacturing processes such as forging, casting, machining, heat treatment, welding, non-destructive testing, chemical processes, and coatings.
Interpretation of technical specifications related to processes, materials, laboratory testing, and acceptance criteria.
Fundamentals of mechanical and chemical properties of metallic materials such as stainless steels, nickel alloys, aluminum, and titanium.
