Overview
role summary: the cloud architect designs and guides the implementation of secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions. This role bridges business needs with technical architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy, compliance requirements, and cloud best practices.
responsibilities
* design cloud-native and hybrid architectures for scalable and resilient systems.
* provide technical leadership and architectural oversight across cloud initiatives.
* ensure alignment with security, compliance, and governance standards.
* evaluate and recommend approved hsbc cloud services, tools, and patterns to optimize performance and cost.
* collaborate with development, devops, regulatory and security teams to ensure architectural consistency.
* contribute to cloud migration strategies and modernization efforts.
* develop reference architectures and reusable design patterns.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
* 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure, or application design.
* expertise in at least one major cloud platform (aws, azure, or gcp).
* solid understanding of networking, security, identity, and automation in cloud environments.
