Overview
CheckSum is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) based in Mexico to build pipeline and create early-stage customer engagement in the electronics manufacturing sector (EMS and automotive electronics). This is a strong new-customer development role focused on initiating qualified conversations, booking high-quality meetings, and maintaining disciplined follow-up to keep opportunities moving.
A core part of the role is initiating customer engagement through Project Analysis meetings—structured discussions that surface throughput, quality, coverage, and test/programming timing requirements so our team can build a business case and define next-step evaluations.
In addition to new logo development, this role will help maintain and grow CheckSum’s Mexico install base by identifying follow-on opportunities and coordinating next steps for new equipment and expansion projects with Sales and Applications Engineering.
About CheckSum
CheckSum supplies board test systems and programming solutions that help manufacturers test and program products faster by testing boards in parallel. Our technologies help high-volume producers increase throughput, reduce bottlenecks and WIP, lower cost of test, and improve quality.
Key Responsibilities
New business development + meeting creation
• Prospect and engage EMS and automotive electronics manufacturers in Mexico
• Drive outbound: email, LinkedIn, phone, follow-up sequences, re-engagement
• Run practical first conversations and book qualified next-step meetings
• Coordinate and schedule Project Analysis meetings
• Build stakeholder maps inside accounts (test, mfg/process, quality, ops, plant, program)
Opportunity progression + pipeline execution
• Own follow-up cadence, meeting coordination, and next-step alignment after first engagement
• Keep opportunities moving: action items, required info, timelines
• Support inbound leads and event follow-up (trade shows, SMTA, customer days)
• Partner closely with Sales + Applications Engineering for handoffs and continuity
Install base growth + customer engagement
• Maintain and grow existing accounts (upgrades, expansions, new programs)

What Success Looks Like

• Fluent in Spanish + strong business English (written and spoken)
• Based in Mexico
