*billing and collections analyst*
*location*: puebla - hybrid
*key responsibilities*:
- act as the primary specialist for invoice documentation and collections processing, ensuring timely payments from customers.
- maintain organized records of billing communications and actions taken to support audit readiness and compliance with financial policies.
- collaborate with the collections team to provide documentation for payments, including printing, resubmitting, and uploading required materials.
- extract and compile data from fa&p portals and accounting systems; integrate with bi tools for analysis and reporting.
- deliver customer-specific reports, including financial summaries and statements of account (soa), aligned with both internal and customer systems.
- identify and escalate missing or inaccurate documentation and support resolution tracking.
- perform quality assurance checks to ensure proper invoicing procedures and resolve exceptions across functions.
- lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration.
- perform other duties as assigned.
*education and experience*:
- bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- advanced english proficiency is required.
- 3-4 years of experience in billing, collections, or accounts receivable roles, ideally in high-volume b2b environments.
- advanced excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup/xlookup, power query) and experience with data visualization tools.
*core competencies*:
- strong knowledge of financial systems (e.g., sun) and bi tools for reporting and analysis.
- expertise in invoice lifecycle management, collections, and account reconciliation.
- ability to collaborate across teams to resolve billing issues and ensure timely payments.
- familiarity with customer-specific billing requirements and compliance documentation.
- experience with automation or continuous process improvement is a plus.
