responsibilities
* interpret medical images, including x-rays, ct scans, mris, and ultrasounds to diagnose conditions.
* collaborate with referring physicians to discuss imaging findings and recommend further diagnostic tests or treatments.
* maintain accurate patient records using ehr and emr systems while ensuring compliance with hipaa regulations.
* provide guidance on patient management plans based on imaging results.
* participate in clinical research and contribute to the advancement of radiological practices.
* engage in continuous education to stay current with new technologies and techniques in the field of radiology.
requirements
* doctor of medicine (md) or doctor of osteopathic medicine (do) degree from an accredited institution.
* board certification or eligibility in radiology.
* proficiency in ehr systems and medical terminology.
* strong knowledge of various specialties including obstetrics, oncology, gastroenterology, neurology, and maternal-fetal medicine.
* excellent communication skills for effective patient service and collaboration with healthcare teams.
