This position will lead and oversee all aspects of maintenance operations within an organization. This role involves ensuring the efficient functioning of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. The facilities maintenance supervisor will lead the maintenance team and collaborate with vendors, and other departments to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
key responsibilities:
maintenance planning and execution:
* understand, train, and execute the tpm system.
* develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for machinery, vehicles, and building systems.
* coordinate repairs, replacements, and upgrades as needed.
* monitor equipment performance and address issues promptly.
* plan and execute capital and continuous improvement projects.
team management:
* lead a team of maintenance technicians, electricians, and mechanics.
* assign tasks, set performance goals, and provide training.
* foster a positive work culture and ensure teamwork.
budgeting and cost control:
* develop and manage the maintenance budget & optimize spending while maintaining quality standards.
* evaluate cost-saving opportunities & participate in capital budget planning for the site.
health and safety compliance:
* ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
* conduct safety inspections and address any hazards.
* implement emergency response procedures.
vendor and contractor coordination:
* collaborate with external vendors for specialized services (e.g., hvac, plumbing).
* ensure contractor work is performed safely and company policies and standards are followed.
* manage relationships with contractors.
inventory management:
* maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies.
* ensure timely availability of necessary items.
* minimize downtime due to lack of resources.
facility upkeep:
* oversee building maintenance, landscaping, and cleanliness.
* address facility-related issues promptly.
* plan and execute renovations or improvements.

this role’s decisions directly impact the organization’s operational efficiency, safety, and overall productivity. By maintaining equipment reliability and a well-functioning facility, they contribute to employee satisfaction and business success.
minimum requirements:
* bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or related field with 5+ years of relevant work experience or equivalent. *three (3) + years of supervisory/leadership experience.
* ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, blueprints, financial reports, and legal documents.
* ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
* experience with a formal problem-solving methodology including six sigma.
preferred requirements:
* master’s degree cmrp, crl, cre strong knowledge of tpm, rcm and fmea proficiency in autocad/ solid works, plc programming
supervisory responsibilities:
may lead an organization of up to 10 employees at one manufacturing building
