aboutthe job the manager leisure sales is responsible for proactive andreactive sales efforts business for the one and only mandarina,responding to all inquiries within the set time frame all with theintention of confirming profitable wholesale and leisure businessand achieving annual transient segment goals.
as a manager leisuresales you will develop and maintain relationships with exclusivetravel programs, such as american express fine hotels &resorts, virtuoso and signature travel network.
achieves or exceedsindividual assigned sales and revenue goals provide propertyrepresentation and education to key agencies through direct salescalls, customer events and trade shows.
to satisfactorily performroutine functions of the manager of travel industry sales,including organizing and executing fam trips; conducting sitetours; traveling; designing and implementing sales action plans;maintaining business contacts; and ensuring customer satisfaction.to develop and maintain a strong working relationship withrepresentatives of travel agencies in key feeder markets to promotebusiness.
to understand and respond to all guest needs and requestsin a timely and professional manner.
to represent and marketone&only mandarina in a positive and professional manner andcontinually promote the resort internally and externally bybuilding relationships and attending special events both on and offproperty when requested.
to attend all mandatory meetings asdirected.

this position also supports the sales plan and strategy,client development, managing key relationships, identifying newtarget markets and sales product with the goal of meeting andexceeding revenue goals.
key duties and responsibilities - planand/or attend and/or participate in meetings with hotel staff andclients, including but not exclusive to: leisure and wholesalesales meeting, revenue meeting, sales meeting and planning visits(where applicable).
- comply with one&only standards for salesand marketing, while working harmoniously and professionally withco-workers and planning committee.
- must be willing to work aflexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities- ability to negotiate and work under pressure - solicit and securenew business in assigned market segments to drive transient revenueto the hotel.
- develop the existing customer base (reactive) aswell as acquire new business accounts (proactive) to expand ouraccount base against weekly goals.
- assists with the development,implementation, and management of leisure promotions in conjunctionwith overall sales and marketing plan.
- develop expertise inassigned markets.
(i.e.
expertise in the transient/leisure segmentand establish as a leader for mandarina as well as the communityfor your designated territory) - work with regional sales team todevelop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, andcustomers.
- participate in sales presentations, property tours,customer meetings, and business review meetings with team.
-participate in trade shows, conventions, and promotional eventswithin the area hotels, the industry and customer organizations.
-understand the competitive landscape and how to maintain leadershipposition given market and economic changes.
adjust sales plan andstrategies accordingly whilst notifying updated in the weeklyreport.
- develop and maintain best practices, policies, andservice initiatives to achieve optimal sales service and clientretention.

- executes exemplary customerservice to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting thecustomer and ensuring their satisfaction before and during theirprogram/event.
including a seamless handover to the conventionsteam at resort.
- gains understanding of the property's primarytarget customer and service expectations; serves the customer byunderstanding their business, business issues and concerns, tooffer better business solution both prior to, and during theprogram/event.
- works collaboratively with off-property saleschannels (e.g., travel agents/whole salers) to ensure sales effortsare coordinated, complementary and not duplicative.
- manages anddevelops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.- uses sales resources and administrative/support staff.
- executesand supports the operational aspects of business consumed (e.g.,generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence andfollow up).
about you - bachelor's degree in sales and marketing orhotel management, or equivalent experience required.
- englishfluency required.
- must have minimum five years' experience in aleisure sales role with a proven track record of success in theluxury market.
- strong selling and interpersonal skills - adapt inleisure and wholesale systems, management tools.
- the ability toachieve yearly personal sales booking goals.
- requires a basicunderstanding of the operations of all departments in the resort.
-must be skilled in accepted business presentation formats.
