as the warehouse & logistics coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products. Your responsibilities will include:
- inventory management: oversee raw material and finished goods inventories, conducting regular cycle counts, and addressing discrepancies to maintain accuracy.
- shipping & receiving: manage the timely and accurate shipping and receiving of materials, ensuring compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
- logistics coordination: collaborate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule shipments, negotiate rates, and resolve any transportation issues.
- forecasting & accrual: develop and manage accurate logistics spent forecasts and handle monthly accrual processes.
- team leadership: supervise and lead warehouse and logistics staff, setting priorities, providing guidance, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- process optimization: analyze and improve warehouse and logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and meet operational goals.
- compliance & safety: ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all team members.
- cross-functional collaboration: work closely with procurement, production, quality, planning and customer service teams to align logistics activities with business objectives.
*qualifications*
- education: bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- experience: minimum of 7 years in warehouse and logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- technical skills: proficiency in oracle erp, microsoft office suite, and warehouse management systems.
- analytical abilities: strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and implement effective solutions.
- communication skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills in english and spanish.
- certifications: green belt certification in lean six sigma is preferred.
Regulatory knowledge: familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to logistics and warehouse operations*.*
