At new era, we are looking for a strategic and results-driven sales manager to lead our modern trade & wholesale channel in mexico.
this role will be responsible for driving growth across key accounts including walmart, sam's club, coppel, heb, la comer, chedraui, suburbia, c&a, as well as major wholesale partners.
key responsibilities
1. Commercial strategy & key accounts (modern channel & wholesale)
- own and drive the commercial strategy for modern trade and wholesale accounts .
- develop and execute business plans for key customers: coppel, heb, sam's club, walmart, la comer, chedraui, c&a, suburbia, and wholesalers .
- identify whitespace opportunities and accelerate category growth.
- negotiate commercial terms, pricing, promotions, and in-store visibility.
- lead quarterly business reviews with strong analytical insights.
2. Sales & performance ownership
- deliver and exceed monthly and annual sell-in targets .
- drive sell-out performance through promotional strategies and retail execution.
- monitor key kpis: sell-in, sell-out, margin, inventory turnover, market share.
- ensure flawless execution of orders, replenishment, and product launches.
- partner with marketing to drive campaigns and activations tailored to each retailer.
3. Cross-functional leadership
- act as the commercial lead across sales, marketing, product, and supply chain .
- provide input on pricing strategy, assortment planning, and inventory levels.
- ensure strong in-store execution and product storytelling across all accounts.
4. Team leadership
- lead and coach 2 direct report.
- set clear kpis and performance expectations.
- build a high-performance, results-driven culture.
- drive accountability and ownership across the team.
qualifications
- bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- 5–7+ years of experience in:
- modern trade / retail (walmart, sam's, chedraui, etc.)
- wholesale / mass market
- sports, fashion, apparel, or consumer goods
- proven track record managing large retail accounts and wholesalers .
- experience driving revenue growth and commercial negotiations.
