role and responsibilities

senior organic search strategist is responsible for creating and executing custom organic search strategies aligned with client kpis, covering on-page seo, technical seo, off-page seo, and informational seo content. The role requires clear client communication, ability to explain the strategy and the rationale behind it, and strong problem-solving to adjust strategies based on performance. The incumbent also mentors junior team members and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive client results.

* create short-term and long-term strategic organic search roadmaps that quantify traffic and/or lead/transaction impact aligned with client goals.
* conduct deep dives on organic search performance (monthly/quarterly/yearly) and after algorithm updates; work with large data sets and present insights clearly with actionable next steps.
* explain organic search performance and its impact on other channels and the client’s business; communicate the rationale behind tactics clearly to clients.
* delegate work to specialists and supporting strategists with clear expectations, timelines, and quality review).
* execute on complex, out-of-the-box organic search deliverables to achieve client goals.
* set educated organic search goals & forecasts based on historical context and current landscape; adapt as needed.
* maintain internal and external deliverable trackers to ensure projects stay on track.
* leverage ai technologies to enhance processes and utilize power digital’s nova ecosystem as it relates to your department.


role requirements

* minimum of 5 years of experience in an seo-based role.
* advanced understanding of all aspects of organic search (on-page, technical, off-page, and seo content); ability to align seo and content with priority business focuses and work autonomously.
* advanced knowledge of analytics tools for seo performance and reporting (google analytics, google search console, semrush, ahrefs, moz, screaming frog, etc.).
* ability to provide positive and constructive feedback to team members; experience training others is a bonus.
* strong time management and organizational skills for road mapping, planning deliverables, delegating tasks, and quality reviews.
* proactive, solution-oriented problem solver with a team-player mentality.
* excellent storytelling and presentation skills to tailor messages to audiences and deliver actionable insights.

* hit rpe success metric ($36k)
* below 10% client churn rate
* manage a range of 5–10 accounts


most important things (mits)

* manage accounts with the highest workflow volume or complexity, primarily enterprise and/or growth accounts.
* identify biggest seo and content opportunities based on client goals and provide a clear strategic roadmap for execution.
* delegate seo/content tasks effectively, ensuring timely reviews to hit deadlines with high accuracy.
