This role is critical in ensuring regulatory compliance, operational continuity, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of imported equipment, components, and industrial materials. The position requires deep expertise in mexican customs regulations, strong coordination skills, and the ability to manage complex, multi-origin shipments in a fast-paced industrial environment.responsibilities- lead end-to-end import logistics operations for high-volume industrial shipments. - ensure full compliance with current mexican import regulations (tariff classifications, annex 22, noms, immex if applicable, trade agreements, and non-tariff regulations). - stay up to date with regulatory changes and proactively implement necessary adjustments. - liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and government agencies to ensure smooth and timely operations. - monitor shipment status, resolve delays, and optimize logistics costs. - prepare and maintain accurate documentation for customs clearance and internal audits. - collaborate with procurement, finance, and operations teams to support business objectives. - develop and improve logistics procedures, kpis, and reporting tools. - coordinate multi-origin shipments (europe, china, brazil, and other regions) under fob and other incoterms. - build and maintain a national customs codes database for danieli items.qualifications- bachelor's degree in international business, logistics, supply chain, or related field. - 5+ years of experience managing imports logistics, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.required skills- advanced knowledge of mexican customs law, including incoterms, tariff codes, import permits, and compliance standards. - strong experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders. - strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. - english proficiency is required (daily communication with international suppliers). - ability to operate under pressure and tight project deadlines. - analytical and data-driven decision-making.if you are looking to grow within a global organization that operates with international standards and high-impact projects, we encourage you to apply.
