your impact
as a failure analysis & prevention segment lead you will drive improvements in fault duplication and isolation accuracy.
* experience with complex high-speed board design and bring-up is required.
* installing/upgrading/downgrading sonic os on 8000 products is essential.
* providing direction and techniques on customers' issues duplication and isolation is key.
* engaging design engineering and communicating findings and resolutions for hw and sw field issues is necessary.
* coordinating failure analysis cases review meetings with teams and suppliers is crucial.
* defect detection including containment analysis is vital.
* working closely with cross-functional teams to accelerate replicating customer-reported issues is important.
* articulating key technical issues to stakeholders, sensing issues early, identifying impact, and partnering to drive resolution is essential.
* ensuring partners deliver timely and accurate results in duplicating and isolating root causes of customer issues is critical.
* driving innovation, new technologies, and processes is essential.
* organizing, planning, tracking, and closing out design, components, and manufacturing issues associated with products is necessary.
* participating in initiatives to enhance test strategies, methodologies, and test/diagnostic coverage for field returns is crucial.
requirements:
* a bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering with 7+ years of related experience or master's in electrical or computer engineering with 5+ years of related experience is required.
* hands-on experience with hardware and/or software testing, new product fa test strategy, test development/deployment is essential.
* ability to troubleshoot high complexity hw and isolate defective components is necessary.
* ability to decode hardware-related error messages and trace messages to hardware component error checker is critical.
* ability to simulate customer network failures and identify failures in complex systems, subsystems, and components is vital.
preferred qualifications:
* experience with high-speed serdes (>=25g) system design, signal integrity issues, and power distribution techniques is desirable.
* ability to collaborate with ecad, fpga, power, mechanical, signal integrity, and manufacturing teams is important.
* knowledge of silicon one asic architecture is beneficial.
* cisco certifications like ccna are preferred.
* familiarity with networking components such as pcie switches, phy, retimers is useful.
