the hr manager will lead and oversee all aspects of human resources management, including recruitment, onboarding, compensation and benefits, compliance, and employee engagement. This role requires a hands-on professional capable of implementing hr strategies aligned with business objectives while ensuring compliance with mexican labor laws.
key responsibilities
1. Talent acquisition & recruitment
* manage the end-to-end recruitment process for assigned positions, from job posting to offer letter.
* source candidates through multiple channels (job boards, referrals, linkedin, etc.).
* screen applications, conduct interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers.
* ensure a positive candidate experience through effective communication and feedback.
* conduct reference checks and assist in salary offer negotiations.
2. Employee onboarding & integration
* design and execute a comprehensive onboarding process for new hires.
* coordinate with internal departments (it, operations, finance) to ensure readiness for new employees.
* conduct orientation sessions and oversee the completion of hiring documentation.
* support new hires during their first 90 days to ensure smooth cultural integration.
3. Compensation & benefits
* oversee payroll accuracy and timely processing in coordination with finance.
* manage benefits programs and employee engagement initiatives.
* provide recommendations for competitive compensation strategies based on market trends.
4. Attendance & employee records
* supervise time and attendance systems and manage employee leaves per legal requirements.
* ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and proper maintenance of employee records in the hris system.
* manage onboarding and offboarding processes in alignment with company policies.
5. Compliance & policy management
* ensure hr operations comply with federal and local labor laws.
* maintain and update internal hr policies and employee handbooks.
* support audits and internal reviews related to compliance and employment practices.
qualifications
* bachelors degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in hr, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
* experience in the logistics, manufacturing, or industrial sector preferred.
* advanced english (spoken and written).
* strong knowledge of mexican labor law and hr best practices.
* excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
