key responsibilities:
portfolio optimization:
operate and refine portfolio optimization models, ensuring data consistency and analyzing market patterns to inform strategic decisions.
strategy development:
design and adjust portfolio selection strategies, considering risk assessments, available capital, and potential market fluctuations.
performance analysis:
collaborate in presenting the final portfolio offerings, interpreting key metrics such as profit and loss (pnl) and mark-to-market (mtm) gains.
model enhancement:
provide feedback to prediction and backtesting teams, identifying shortcomings and suggesting improvements to existing models
market monitoring:
track historical portfolio performance and identify new business opportunities within the energy sector.
technical skills and experience:
financial analysis:
proficiency in econometrics and asset risk analysis, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in financial markets.
technical proficiency:
knowledge of python, basic sql, and intermediate excel skills.
modeling expertise:
familiarity with predictive models and foundational principles of portfolio optimization theory.
energy markets:
experience in electricity/energy product markets is desirable.
