Involves the completion of administrative tasks and coordination related to front-line operations, which may include data entry, ramp activities, sort activities, trace activities, dispatch activities, and local customer service. While operational tasks may be part of these roles, most of the time is spent on office-based activities.

lead or senior roles in these positions may include:

1. handling escalated or complex issues
2. coordinating team activities or those of agency contract staff
3. supporting supervisor or manager activities
4. supporting the design, review, and implementation of processes and procedures

general job description:

* assisting customers by tracing packages, answering questions regarding fedex products and services, and providing over-the-counter and over-the-phone service
* preparing various operations reports
* handling customers with packages in cages
* maintaining and auditing records and files (airway bills)
* reviewing airway bills and registering as necessary; interfacing with customers on customs issues

additional responsibilities include:

* providing administrative and clerical support to the station operations manager
* checking packages for proper labeling, legality of content, weight, size, wrapping, insurance, hazardous material compliance, and customs documentation
* maintaining a neat and clean workplace/front counter, self, and uniform
* recognizing new customer or business opportunities, opening new accounts, and submitting sales leads
* performing other duties as assigned

minimum requirements:

* education: high school diploma or equivalent
* language proficiency: proficiency in english (450 toeic points)

experience:

* previous clerical or customer service experience in a service environment or at least 18 months as a service agent

skills:

* ability to lift 70 lbs. (32 kg) and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs. (68 kg) with appropriate equipment
* good office skills including typing, filing, and computer literacy
* excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
* clear and articulate speaking voice
* neat appearance and clean cut
* ability to pass the basic skills test (reading, listening, sorting, math)
* ability to work variable shifts
