about the role
the role involves overseeing the procurement process, ensuring timely delivery of components and materials while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
responsibilities
* supervise the acquisition of components, raw materials, and services for production.
* negotiate with tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers, ensuring just-in-time deliveries.
* ensure compliance with iatf 16949, iso 14001, and iso 50001 standards.
* coordinate with engineering, quality, and logistics departments to resolve issues.
* implement cost-saving strategies, continuous improvement initiatives, and supplier localization efforts.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, business administration, international trade, or a related field.
* minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive purchasing, including 3 years in a supervisory role.
required skills
* proficiency in erp systems (sap preferred).
* knowledge of trade agreements (usmca) and customs processes.
* advanced english is essential (interaction with global suppliers).

* experience in supplier relationship management.
* strong analytical and negotiation skills.
