Overview
The University of Hong Kong invites applications for the position of Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine. This is a two-year fixed-term appointment, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance. Ref.: 533268. Location: Hong Kong.
Responsibilities
- Work independently as well as with other team members.
- Manage ongoing research projects on human fertilization and early embryo development.
- Publish original research articles in high-impact journals.
- Secure external competitive grants.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in medical science, biological or biomedical science, or related discipline, with experience in cell culture, molecular biology and animal handling.
- Relevant post-doctoral training in Reproductive Biology.
- Research expertise and experience in microfluidic technology and/or AI is an advantage.
- Strong track record of publishing high-quality research articles and grant applications.
Appointment Details
Two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary.
