Introduction the it network engineer will be responsible for supporting and maintaining network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity and performance. This role requires foundational networking knowledge, hands-on experience with lan/wan technologies, and the ability to provide operational support for switching, routing, and firewall systems. The ideal candidate will assist in troubleshooting, configuration, and monitoring of network components in a dynamic enterprise environment. Your role and responsibilities provide network support for lan/wan environments, ensuring stability and performance. Assist in configuring and maintaining switching/routing or firewall devices. Monitor network health and troubleshoot connectivity issues promptly. Support implementation of network changes and upgrades under guidance from senior engineers. Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and operational procedures. Collaborate with it teams to resolve network-related incidents and service requests. Ensure compliance with security and operational standards. Required technical and professional expertise 1–5 years of experience in network engineering or network support roles. Strong understanding of foundational networking concepts (tcp/ip, vlans, subnets). Hands-on experience with lan/wan technologies. Familiarity with switching/routing or firewall devices (cisco, palo alto, etc.). Ccna certification (or actively pursuing). Basic troubleshooting skills and experience with network monitoring tools. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred technical and professional experience exposure to network security principles and firewall policies. Experience with vpns and remote access solutions. Familiarity with cloud networking (aws, azure) and hybrid environments. Knowledge of itil processes and ticketing systems.
