*job summary*: the *hr generalist* is responsible for supporting a wide variety of hr activities for the *mexico entity*, including *recruitment*, *onboarding*, *payroll*, *benefits administration*, and ensuring *compliance with federal and local labor laws*.
this role contributes to fostering a *positive and productive work environment* and advises managers and supervisors on all *mexico hr practices*.
*essential duties & responsibilities*:
- * develop, implement, and communicate* hr *policies and procedures*:
- * collaborate* with u.s.based *people operations* counterparts to share best practices and maintain *consistency*:
- * advise* and *assist* management and employees on *labor-related issues*, such as *employment contracts*, *termination*, *compensation*, and *benefits*:
- maintain *accurate employee records*, including *personnel files*, *training records*, and *documentation*:
- handle *sensitive employee information* with confidentiality and follow *data protection regulations*:
- * manage full recruitment lifecycle*, including *job posting*, *sourcing*, *interviewing*, and *onboarding*:
- * oversee employee benefits administration*:
- assist employees with *employee self service* access, including *password resets* or *information updates*:
- ensure accurate and timely *payroll processing*, including *wages*, *deductions*, and *benefits*:
- draft, renew, and maintain *employment contracts*, ensuring compliance
- provide support on *payroll inquiries* and issues
- * enforce compliance* with *mexican labor laws* and company policies
- regularly *review and update processes* to align with *legal requirements* and *best practices*:
- other duties as needed to *meet business needs*
*knowledge, skills & abilities*:
- * bilingual* in *english and spanish* with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
- proven ability to succeed in a *fast-paced team environment*:
- ability to effectively *interact with and influence* all *organizational levels*:
- able to work *independently* while *prioritizing and multi-tasking* to meet deadlines
- experience *developing and managing* company-wide programs
- knowledge of *mexico labor laws* and regulations
- experience processing payroll
- proficiency with *hris* and *talent management systems*:
- skilled in *electronic communications* and *microsoft office suite*
*required education and experience*:
- * bachelors degree* in *hr*, *business*, or a related field, or *equivalent experience*:
- * minimum of 3 years experience* in human resources, preferably as a *generalist*:
- strong *integrity*, *professionalism*, and *confidentiality*:
- * customer service* focused, able to work both independently and as part of a team
*preferred education and experience*:
- previous experience with *human resources information systems (hris)*:
- * human resources certification*, e.g., *phr*, *sphr*, *shrm*
