job description:
we are seeking a manual qa engineer to take ownership of product quality across our saas platform. This role goes beyond traditional testing — you'll work at the intersection of qa, customer experience, and ai to ensure the product truly serves its users.
what you'll do
* user-centric qa: partner with support to analyze tickets and bug reports, translate feedback into structured test scenarios, and collaborate with marketing to align product experience with user expectations.
* ai-assisted testing: use ai tools to accelerate test case generation, exploratory testing, bug triage, and documentation. Identify opportunities to integrate ai into qa workflows.
* core qa responsibilities: review requirements and acceptance criteria, design and execute manual test cases, perform functional/integration/ui/ux testing, document defects, and maintain qa documentation.
* cross-team collaboration: work closely with product managers and developers to clarify requirements, flag risks, and participate in release management and sign-off processes.
what we're looking for
* proven experience in manual qa for web-based saas products.
* strong understanding of sdlc and agile/scrum methodologies.
* experience collaborating with non-engineering teams (support, marketing, product).
* hands-on experience with ai tools (chatgpt, copilot, etc.) applied to testing or documentation.
* proficiency with jira for bug tracking and sprint workflows.
* excellent written and verbal communication skills in english.
* analytical mindset, attention to detail, and curiosity about user behavior.
nice to have
* familiarity with browser developer tools and basic html/css/js debugging.
* exposure to automation frameworks (selenium, playwright, cypress) as a growth path.
* background or passion for ux research or customer experience.
