*cimmyt* is a pioneering international, non-profit organization dedicated to solving tomorrow’s problems today. It focuses on improving the quantity, quality, and reliability of production systems and staple cereals such as maize, wheat, triticale, sorghum, millet, and associated crops through applied agricultural science—especially in the global south—by building strong collaborations.
*main responsibilities*:
- perform the calculation and execution of periodic payrolls: weekly, biweekly (14-day), and monthly (irs).
- receive, follow up on, and update payroll incidents.
- manage data related to payroll and compensation.
- handle special payrolls: year-end bonus, vacation premium, severance payments, retroactive payments, and bonuses.
- administer the grocery voucher benefit.
- reconcile internal payroll systems with sat (mexican tax authority) records.
- manage digital payroll receipts, including tax stamping and availability on the online platform.
- prepare accumulated income statements.
- maintain a proper digital archive of payroll documentation.
- generate reports related to new hires, terminations, salaries, overtime, and payroll transactions.
- prepare and distribute total rewards statements for mexico.
- support the preparation of information required for audits (imss, local taxes) and actuarial calculations.
- assist internal clients with payroll and benefits-related matters.
- calculate severance payments.
- administer the vacation module.
*requirements*:
- the position holder must have a completed bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field (with degree or professional license).
- minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll-related areas.
- manage minimum of 600 hc
- knowledge of labor and tax laws (current legislation): lft, lss, infonavit, isr.
- intermediate to advanced excel skills.
- english proficiency at b1 - b2 level.
Pay: up to $20,000.00 per month
