*as a web developer...*
you will play a critical role in helping school districts develop a strong web presence and digital identity.
apptegy's client experience team continues to grow rapidly as we bring on hundreds of new clients every year.
you will work closely with onboarders and client success representatives to develop custom websites and pages.
you will work within our thrillshare platform and cms that powers more than 4,000 district websites across north america.
this is a fast-paced role that requires you to be thorough, detailed, and fast.

*what is the role?
*
you will code custom-designed web pages for school districts within thrillshare's cms.
the majority of the work will be in html and css, and will include some javascript.
our websites make it easy for schools to look their best, show off their strengths, and share the amazing stories that happen in their schools each day.
the work you do will enable schools to attract students and families.
all of our websites integrate with thrillshare so school leaders can update all of their communication channels at once—from website to alert systems to social media, and more.
you'll work closely with other developers, onboarders, client success managers, and clients.
*qualifications & skills*:
- 5 years of web development experience recommended
- experience using several modern content management systems (wordpress, hubspot, drupal, etc) and the ability to quickly learn a new cms
- use a variety of internet technologies, techniques, scripting, and object-oriented languages and databases (e.g.
html, css, javascript) to create web page elements such as user interface features, site animation, and special effects
- integrate data from various back-end services and databases
- troubleshoot code including script and plugin errors, media integration, and website usability
- be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling some websites
- optimize websites using industry best practices for both ada compliance/usability, functionality, and search engine results
