This role focuses on negotiating rates, securing reliable transportation partners, and supporting the operations team in covering loads efficiently. Key responsibilities identify, new trucking carriers to expand the company's transportation network. Build and maintain long-term relationships with reliable carriers. Research carrier markets to ensure strong coverage across lanes and regions. Secure carrier capacity for freight shipments based on operational needs. Work closely with the operations teams to cover loads quickly and efficiently. Maintain a pool of preferred carriers for key lanes. Negotiate competitive transportation rates with carriers. Monitor market trends to ensure pricing remains competitive. Balance cost efficiency with service quality.
