About the role
century snacks is building its presence in mexico and is looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial brand manager to drive local marketing execution, innovation, and brand building. This role is critical to ensuring that the company’s global strategy translates effectively into the mexican market. With shared reporting to the mexico general manager and u.s. Central marketing, you will act as the bridge between local execution and global alignment, managing agencies, innovation workflows, packaging development, and trade marketing support in a lean, high-impact team.
key responsibilities
brand & marketing execution
* · manage day-to-day coordination with the digital agency, ensuring campaigns are well-briefed, kpis are tracked, and results are delivered.
* · adapt global brand assets to the mexican market, ensuring consistency and relevance across consumer touchpoints.
* · support customer presentations and trade marketing initiatives in collaboration with sales.
innovation & new product development
* · manage the innovation cycle for mexico, leading the project management workflow of new product developments (npds).
* · identify consumer insights and trends when relevant, and adapt concepts for the local market.
* · coordinate packaging development with global and local suppliers, ensuring compliance with mexican regulations and brand standards.
* · oversee sourcing of samples from u.s. and mexican third-party suppliers for internal testing, retailer presentations, and activations.
market intelligence & competitive monitoring
* · track new product launches, pricing, distribution, and promotional activity across the mexican snack market.
* · provide actionable insights and recommendations to inform local decisions and central strategy.
cross-functional & commercial support
* · coordinate trade marketing tools and point-of-sale materials for retailers, wholesalers, and distributors.
performance measurement & reporting
* · track local kpis across digital, innovation, and trade activation performance.
* · execute and monitor local brand budgets with efficiency and accountability.
key performance indicators (kpis)
* · digital campaign roi (% return on digital marketing spend vs. plan)
* · agency performance compliance (% of campaigns delivered on time and within budget)
* · innovation launch success rate (% of launches delivered on schedule and meeting sales/penetration targets in first 6 months)
* · packaging development cycle time (average time from concept brief to final approved pack, vs. timeline)
* · sample readiness (% of samples delivered to sales/customers on time for presentations or activations)
* · competitive monitoring cadence (# of structured reports delivered per quarter with actionable insights)
* · trade marketing execution (% of planned pos materials/activations delivered to retailers on time)
* · budget adherence (% variance vs. approved local brand budget)
* · kpi dashboard delivery (timely submission of monthly reports on digital, innovation, and trade marketing performance to gm and u.s. Marketing)
qualifications
* · 3–7 years of marketing experience, ideally within fmcg (food or snacks).
* · strong track record in digital marketing, innovation cycles, and trade marketing.
* · experience coordinating with agencies, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
* · analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
* · entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable operating in a “start-up” environment.
* · fully bilingual in spanish and english (mandatory).
* · bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field.
