Trade Compliance Specialist
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Specialist to play a pivotal role in ensuring our operations align with both Mexican and international trade regulations. This position requires an individual who is knowledgeable about customs laws, trade agreements, and compliance regulations.
Job Description:
- The adecuado candidate will be responsible for advising local and corporate staff on trade compliance aspects and risks of proposed business decisions; collaborate effectively with peers at related company sites.
This includes performing reviews of all PROSEC, Regla Octava, and rulings related to Brady's Mexico operation, as well as ensuring compliance with IMMEX, PROSEC, and other Mexican trade programs. Additionally, the candidate will administer and monitor Annex 24 and Annex 31 systems, review and process import/export documentation, including USMCA certificates and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Support audits and provide training on trade compliance matters.
2. Perform internal and external audits for import and export compliance.
3. Prepare, review, approve, and submit applications for export/import licenses, permits, and other requests for authorization.
4. Review with site department managers their trade compliance internal controls (procedures, work instructions, forms, checklists, and tools) to ensure they are current and compliant.
5. Analyze and interpret export and import regulations and maintain current knowledge of changes.
6. Transact records in trade compliance information systems.
