about the role
asc global, an independent distributor of electronic components since 1996, is making a strategic leadership hire to anchor its mexico expansion. We are looking for a sales director who has lived and breathed the industrial electronic components sector, someone who knows the brokerage environment, has built and led sales teams, and can take full ownership of a regional operation from day one. This is not a role for someone transitioning from a different sector. Direct, proven experience in the electronic components or industrial distribution industry is a hard requirement.
responsibilities
- build, lead, and scale a high‑output b2b sales team within the independent electronic components distribution space.
- drive aggressive new business development across oem, ems, and mro accounts.
- own full p&l responsibility for the regional sales operation.
- coach, mentor, and develop sales representatives into true brokers and hunters.
- establish a high‑performance culture centered on activity, accountability, and margin discipline.
- oversee the full sales cycle: sourcing, quoting, negotiation, and closing.
- personally engage in key deals, high‑value negotiations, and strategic accounts.
- align with global purchasing and supply teams to maximize deal flow and profitability.
- monitor market dynamics: shortages, allocations, and excess inventory opportunities.
- implement kpis, reporting structures, and accountability systems across the team.
qualifications
- direct, hands‑on experience in independent electronic components distribution or industrial brokerage.
- proven track record of building and leading successful b2b sales teams (minimum team size: 3+ direct reports).
- deep understanding of the global electronic components supply chain, including shortage markets, allocation cycles, and excess inventory.
- strong p&l management experience with demonstrated revenue growth.
- exceptional negotiation, coaching, and commercial judgment skills.
- fluent in english (c1 minimum) for daily use with global teams and clients.
- based in guadalajara or fully committed to relocation for a 100% on‑site role.
- experience: electronic components distribution or industrial brokerage – 5 years (required).
- experience leading and managing a b2b sales team – 5 years (required).
- language: english c1 (required).

compensation
pay: from $30,000.00 per hour. The base salary listed is a starting proposal. The final offer is open to negotiation based on interview performance, verified experience, english proficiency level, and overall fit for the role.
