we aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.we are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of *regulatory mapping manager*.this is a key role in order to maintain and manage the ongoing integrity of global regulatory mapping activity, accountable to the global head of target end state delivery (tes) and working closely with avp's in reg mapping; along with key stakeholders including the tes senior leadership team, the global business lines (gbls) and all regions.
the model will ensure greater risk and data transparency between countries and global business lines (gbl) as well as enhancing hsbc's ability to trace risks and control analysis back to regulatory obligations.the role holder is expected to make decisions appropriate to their areas of responsibility and work openly and collaboratively with their line management and team colleagues.
the role holder will interact with key stakeholder teams (internal and external to tes) at group level and with senior management as described above.
the role holder will be a key facilitator within tes across regions and global lines of business for the global regulatory mapping initiative.the role holder must be determined and be able to engender the support of a number of senior executives across regulatory conduct and from within several compliance and global risk teams, who may have their own conflicting local pressures.
against this background, the role holder must be able to drive through solutions to successful conclusion and to ensure that risks are being properly managed.
*requirements*:*requirements*:experience and proven ability required:- worked in a major international bank / financial institution, within a matrix environment, including reporting internationally; shall be a highly motivated and dynamic self-starter, working collaboratively within teams, delivering on time and with a strong attention to detail.
excellent project management & documentation skills.- relationship management within the context of regulatory conduct; prior experience of proof reading/interpreting regulations along with ability to gauge possible associated risks, would be an added advantage.- with strong inter-personal skills and excellent communication, dealing with senior executives.
