Regional Sales Manager Job Description
This role involves leading sales initiatives for a defined geographical territory. The adecuado candidate will have experience in industrial automation sales and a strong technical background in the motion control industry.
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for developing business opportunities with OEM, distributor, and strategic end-user accounts within an assigned territory. This includes promoting sales of high-precision gearing product lines, increasing market share, and exceeding established sales targets.
- Promote sales of high-precision gearing product lines in a defined geographical territory, emphasizing finding and developing new machine builder accounts.
- Increase market share and exceed established sales targets by calling on a select group of OEM, distributor, and strategic end-user accounts.
- Establish and grow relationships within prospective clients' engineering, purchasing, sales, and management organizations.
- Develop and implement a strategic sales and marketing plan for the region.
- Identify and qualify legitimate sales opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, the candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ME or EE) combined with at least three years of industrial automation sales experience. They should also be fluent in English, both spoken and written, and have excellent communication skills.
The successful candidate will be able to interact with people of all levels of staff and management and diverse backgrounds. Strong technical knowledge of the motion control industry is essential for this position.
