Lead the sourcing operations for a full portfolio of categories, including energy (lng, natural gas, electricity, industrial gases, steam-related utilities) and hydrocolloids, defining strategies and setting measurable objectives. Build and manage strong relationships with key suppliers, aligning category strategies with global, regional, and local business needs. Drive supply‐resilience initiatives to position the company as a customer of first choice for strategic suppliers. Develop and manage a pipeline of productivity initiatives that deliver hard savings, cash‐flow improvements, and support esg (environmental, social, and governance) goals. Lead the sourcing, negotiation, and contracting of direct materials and indirect materials & services (ims) within and outside the north america region. Monitor volatile energy and maritime markets, providing proactive communication on risks, opportunities, and market changes. Oversee supplier performance, including commercial assessments, qse (quality, safety & environment) compliance, and execution of defined service level agreements (slas). Manage supply risks—including financial, operational, and hse (health, safety & environment) factors—to ensure safe and timely delivery. Apply the company's 7‐step strategic sourcing methodology and supplier relationship management (srm) principles to ensure best‐in‐class procurement practices. Bachelor's degree in business administration, international business, or a related field. ~5-7 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within the energy (lng, natural gas, electricity, industrial gases, steam-related utilities), hydrocolloids, or industrial commodities sectors. ~ knowledge of the north american procurement market, including supplier landscape and regulatory considerations. ~ advanced negotiation skills and a strong record of managing vendor performance and resolving commercial issues. ~ advanced english level, with the ability to engage stakeholders across multiple regions. ~ proficiency with sap and knowledge of procurement systems, kpis, and governance processes.background working within a global or matrixed procurement organization.
