the role
under regular supervision, responsible for managing a set of vendors and associated spend for company's primary off-net, leased transport providers. Specifically, requires knowledge of and ability to work closely with both ilec's and clecs. Assists with tariff review and communication, circuit based term management, relationship development, creation and execution of vendor strategy, contract negotiations to reduce cost and enhance product offerings, management of contractual terms and conditions to ensure compliance, communication of vendor strategy and capabilities to internal stakeholders, and facilitation of the vendor performance management process and direction of improvement plans. Some knowledge of interconnection agreements and une based products is preferred.

experience in managing and prioritize multiple projects and issues at the same time.
understanding of local access cost elements.
