we are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented lead generation specialist to identify new business opportunities within the live music, touring, and theatrical production markets. In this role, you will research upcoming tours, theater productions, and live events before equipment bids are finalized. Your main objective is to build a strong pipeline by identifying potential opportunities early, mapping key decision‑makers, and providing qualified leads to the sales team for lighting, rigging, and production supply services.
key responsibilities
* research and identify upcoming tours, theatrical productions, and live events using specialized industry databases
* utilize platforms such as pollstar pro, tour link pro, the broadway league, and theatre communications group (tcg) to track industry activity
* monitor touring schedules, routing data, venue calendars, and industry announcements to identify early‑stage opportunities
* identify production timelines and potential equipment supply needs during design and pre‑production phases
* research and map key decision‑makers including production managers, tour managers, technical directors, general managers, and lighting or production designers
* build targeted prospect lists and maintain an organized pipeline of opportunities
* record lead generation activities, contact information, and project timelines in the company crm
* provide detailed notes and background information on leads to support the sales team
* track and monitor market trends within the live music and theater production industries
* identify vendor changes, new productions, and competitive activity to uncover new opportunities
required qualifications
* experience in lead generation, business development, or sales development roles
* strong research and prospecting skills with the ability to identify decision‑makers
* experience using crm systems to manage leads and pipeline activities
* strong written and verbal communication skills
* highly organized with strong attention to detail
* ability to manage multiple research projects and prospect lists simultaneously
* self‑motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
preferred qualifications
* knowledge of the live events, touring music, or theatrical production industry
* experience using platforms such as pollstar pro, tour link pro, or similar touring databases
* familiarity with production roles such as production manager, tour manager, or technical director
* experience working with modern sales engagement tools or outreach platforms
work schedule: monday to friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm est
compensation: $2,000 usd per month
