the americas gaming category manager for xbox within cso will create the americas retail strategy for xbox consoles, influence future product plans, and enable partners by defining the category story, delivering regionally relevant insights, creating regional programs aligned to business priorities, and setting/striving to achieve success metrics. This role is flexible to be performed up to 100% from home.
responsibilities
* americas console performance: own the budgeting process for consoles, including partner target tracking, quarterly forecasts, monthly business reviews, and weekly performance reporting.
* americas console metrics: drive regional accountability across retail and direct channels for console revenue and inventory management.
* demand planning alignment: collaborate with regional partners and the global category lead to align on demand planning.
* americas retail strategy for consoles: develop a comprehensive regional retail strategy for consoles aligned with devices, services, content, and growth areas; set fiscal year priorities to guide marketing plans, strategies, and campaigns.
* partner pitch meetings: create regionally compelling partner pitch materials using ww category partner pitch documentation.
* market dynamics response: address market dynamics and drive corrective actions as needed.
* driving console growth: identify new growth opportunities and prioritize based on potential; collaborate with ww console category lead on strategic sales, partner onboarding, and measurement of results and learnings for future rollouts.
* market expansion support: support market expansion and the launch of new tests or trials.
* console insights: leverage industry knowledge and market insights to drive strategic alignment and digital transformation; share partner and customer insights to achieve joint business objectives.
* voice of the partner: collect and share insights from in-store and online execution, customer and partner feedback, and market trends.
qualifications
required/minimum qualifications (rqs/mqs)
* master's degree in engineering, computer science, supply chain, data analytics, business, finance or related field and 5+ years experience in data science/analytics, finance, project management, supply chain, and/or operations
* or bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, supply chain, data analytics, business, finance or related field and 6+ years experience in data science/analytics, finance, project management, supply chain, and/or operations or equivalent experience.
* business level fluency to read, write and speak english.
additional or preferred qualifications (pqs)
* master's degree in engineering, computer science, supply chain, data analytics, business, finance or related field and 7+ years experience in data science/analytics, finance, project management, supply chain, and/or operations
* experience planning and executing assortment plans, marketing strategies, and activities that drive business results.
* be a skilled leader, able to directly deliver and influence others internally at microsoft and externally through retail partners.
* be a confident leader, representing your business in front of partners and stakeholders at all levels inside and outside microsoft.
* a successful track record in managing and transforming a consumer category while meeting sales and profitability targets.
* sharp analytical skills for reviewing budgets, market data, and deal opportunities.
