Key responsibilities:
* develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets for the assigned key accounts and territory.
* identify, prospect, and onboard new key clients while nurturing and expanding relationships with existing accounts.
* serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, understanding their project needs, providing technical guidance, and offering tailored solutions from our product portfolio (waterproofing systems, construction coatings, etc.).
* prepare and present compelling technical and commercial proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales.
* collaborate closely with internal teams including technical support, marketing, and logistics to ensure superior customer service and project execution.
* conduct market analysis to monitor competitor activity, identify new business opportunities, and provide feedback on market trends.
* represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and technical seminars to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
* manage the sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting using the company's crm system.
qualifications and experience:
* bachelor's degree in civil engineering, chemistry, business administration, or a related field.
* minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in the building materials industry, specifically in:
* waterproofing systems (e.g., membranes, coatings, sealants).
* construction paints and coatings (e.g., decorative, protective coatings).
* proven experience working with or selling to major contractors, developers, and large distributors in the brazilian construction market.
* highly desirable:
prior work experience with
sika
and/or
saint-gobain
is a strong plus and will be highly valued.
* established network of contacts within the mexico construction industry.
required skills and competencies:
* strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and articulate product specifications and applications.
* excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills (in spanish and english).
* strategic thinker with a proven ability to develop and manage key account plans.
* self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working autonomously.
* strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach.
* willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
